NEW YORK, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted 26 km SE of Tinogasta, Argentina at 22:42:24 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 125.2 km, was initially determined to be at 28.23 degrees south latitude and 67.36 degrees west longitude. ■
